I serve as both an AI engineer and CEO at nexana Inc. In my daily work, I focus on observing people's actions and voices, and also on experiencing things myself to find and judge issues.
Work Ethic
What do you usually keep in mind in your work and daily life?
Yoshioka Daiki
I always try to observe people's voices and actions closely. In addition, I make a conscious effort to actually try things out and experience them myself. I feel that there is a lot you can only understand by moving and doing things yourself, not just by observing. When making decisions, I also try to value what I have experienced on-site rather than just thinking in my head. By doing so, I find it easier to notice what kind of help others might need.
Origin
Do you have any experiences or interests from your past that led to your current work?
Yoshioka Daiki
Since I was a child, I found it interesting to pay attention to problems close to me. For example, even if you come up with an idea and start a business, it often doesn't go well, but if you approach someone with stiff shoulders and say, "I'll give you a shoulder massage for 100 yen," you can surprisingly earn money easily. By trying things out myself with these kinds of familiar issues, I learned a lot. I think I naturally came to enjoy focusing on problems themselves.
Turning Point
Have there been moments when you felt your way of thinking changed in your work or daily life?
Yoshioka Daiki
I used to see businesses and problems as difficult, but when I put myself at the center of the issue, I found I could think about them more simply than expected. Things I used to overthink in my head became much clearer when I actually became a party to them. Now, by treating problems as my own, I feel I can take action without forcing myself.
Life
How do you spend your days off or after work?
Yoshioka Daiki
On my days off, I try to travel as much as possible. Getting out of my usual area and putting myself in a different environment helps me refresh my mind. By encountering new places and people, I start to notice things I wouldn't usually think about, so it's a habit I've naturally continued.
Future
What kind of people or themes do you want to be involved with in the future?
Yoshioka Daiki
Going forward, I want to continue supporting people who are struggling with issues or who have a strong desire to help others. While facing challenges together with such people, I hope to keep learning myself.
